(Iron Acton Way, Yate) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the South Gloucestershire Council (Church Road, Cranleigh Court Road and Station Road, Yate) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order 2009 in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the alternative route for heavy vehicles. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon resurfacing works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 3 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The measures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 8pm and 6am.

SCHEDULE 1 Iron Acton Way – that length which extends from Yate Road to Churchward Road.

SCHEDULE 2 Station Road, Yate – that length which extends from Longs Drive to Westerleigh Road.

Alternative route: Yate Road, Station Road, Goose Green Way and vice versa. For pedestrians: Armstrong Way, Churchward Road and vice versa.

(Mill Lane, Old Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Mill Lane which extends from a point 1067m west of Chapel Lane south westwards for 330m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 4 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration, between 8am and 5pm. No alternative route available: No through road.

(Footpath Beaconlea to Court Road, Kingswood) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Footpath Beaconlea to Court Road (KW/40/10) which extends from Court Road westwards for 65m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon duct laying works. The order became operative from 4 August 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Court Road, Mount Hill Road, Quarry Road, Beaconlea and vice versa.

(Folly Brook Road, Emersons Green and A4174 Avon Ring Road, Downend) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with footbridge structural inspection works. The order became operative from 6 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 8pm and 6am.

(Footpath LFC 32 (Part) at The Hillyfields, Frampton Cotterell) Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026

On 22 July 2026, South Gloucestershire District Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert that length of public footpath LFC/32/40 in the Parish of Frampton Cotterell in the Unitary District of South Gloucestershire from its junction with footpaths LFC/33/40, LFC/33/50 and LFC/32/30 in the field (known locally as the Hillyfields) at Point X (grid reference ST 6621 8159) running in a south-easterly direction across the field for a distance of 200m to meet the unaffected part of the route approximately 20m north of its junction with bridleway LFC 34 at Point Z (grid reference ST 6628 8139). Shown by a bold continuous line marked X - Z on the order map – to a line running from public footpath LFC/33/40 at the field boundary with Park Row at Point Y (grid reference ST 6623 8160) running in a south-southeasterly direction across the Hillyfields for a distance of 99m crossing a fenceline with an existing pedestrian gate (Point M grid reference ST 6626 8151) and continuing for a further 111m to meet the unaffected part of the route approximately 20m north of its junction with bridleway LFC 34 at Point Z (grid reference ST 6628 8139). On 22 July 2026, South Gloucestershire District Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish that length of public footpath LWB 60 in the Parish of Winterbourne in the Unitary District of South Gloucestershire running from its junction with Dragon Road at Point A (grid reference ST 6480 8022) in a westerly direction along a surfaced path between property numbers 56 and 60 Dragon Road for a distance of 36m to point B (grid reference ST 6477 8021) where it enters property 58 Grove View and runs in a north-westerly direction for 77m through the garden and then along a ledge to the rear of properties 56, 54, 52 & 50 Dragon Road to point C (grid reference ST 6473 8027) before turning to a west-northwesterly direction running alongside Tudor Cottage for 18m to its junction with Winterbourne Hill at Point D (grid reference ST 6471 8028). This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new electricity supply works. The order will be operative from 21 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to: a) prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (double yellow lines) in lengths of Cornflower Road, Goosefoot Road, Harebell Road, Hollyhock Lane, Honeysuckle Road, Narcissus Way, Pear Tree Way and Sundew Road, Emersons Green; and b) restrict vehicles waiting between the hours of 8am and 6pm on Monday to Friday (inclusive), three hours with no return within three hours in lengths of Honeysuckle Road, Emersons Green. Construction of a Road Hump – Streamleaze, Thornbury Details of the proposed changes

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C(1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct a road hump in the form of a raised table in Streamleaze, Thornbury centred at a point approximately 30m west of Tyndale View. The road hump will extend over the full width of the carriageway and be 8m in length (not including the ramps) and 75mm in maximum height, subject to the tolerances permitted in the Regulations.
