Notice of Temporary Traffic Order – One-way Traffic Mapledurham, Un-named road between Lilley Farm and Cross Lanes

Date of Order: 17 August 2026

Coming into force: 26 August 2026

This Order is being introduced on public safety grounds as part of traffic management measures associated with Reading Music Festival from 26th to 31st August. It is organised by Festival Republic Ltd, 30 St John Street, London, EC1M 4AY.With the intention of reducing traffic congestion at the Chazey Heath/A4074 junction.

The effect of this Order (when and where the appropriate traffic signs are displayed) is to restrict traffic to one direction southbound in Mill Lane, Mapledurham from 9am 26th August until 5pm 31st August. This direction will be reversed to northbound to assist egress on 31st August only.

Also, from 9am 26th August until 5pm 31st August (Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are inforce) for traffic exiting the event: One-way traffic eastbound only along unnamed road running east from Cross Lanes to the A4074.

Exemptions are included for emergency services.

The alternative route for southbound traffic via the A4074 Sheepways Lane, northwest on unnamed road, south on Mill Lane and Mapledurham Lane.
