Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Highway Works

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) The Street (Part), Chilmark; from its junction with Becketts Lane to its junction with Frog Lane. B) Becketts Lane (Part), Chilmark; from its junction with The Street to its property known as Greystones to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out sewer and associated works. Alternative route A via The Street (unaffected length) – UC 973203 – UC 973204 – B3089 – C276 and vice versa. Alternative route B via Becketts Lane (unaffected length) – Frog Lane and vice versa. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Phase 1: C32 (Part), Enford; from its junction with Water Lane for a distance of approximately 154m in a northerly direction. Phase 2: Longstreet (Part), Enford; from its junction with Enford Hill for a distance of approximately 200m in a southerly direction. Phase 3: Enford Hill (Part), Enford; from its property known as No.50 Enford Hill for a distance of approximately 90m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out sewer lining works.

Alternative route: Phase 1: via C32 (unaffected length), A345, Enford Hill and vice versa. Phase 2: via Longstreet (unaffected length), Everleigh Road, A345 and vice versa. Phase 3: via Enford Hill (unaffected length), Longstreet, Everleigh Road, A345 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 03 August 2026 and the closure will be required until 27 August 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
