(QUEEN ELIZABETH ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 231) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a new electrical connection,
Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Queen Elizabeth Road, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Queen Elizabeth Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Queen Elizabeth Road, Irwin Crescent, Woodhouse Road, Greenwood Road, Stanley Road, Queen Elizabeth Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st August 2026 to 8th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BRAMLEY LANE, BRETTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 232) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for Gatic cover replacement to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bramley Lane, Bretton for approximately 260 metres across the M1 overbridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bramley Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Woolley Low Moor Lane, Dennington Lane, Bretton Lane, Bramley Lane & vice versa. Pedestrians to be marshalled through work area. Woolley Edge Services access routes will be maintained as will access for emergency vehicles.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd August 2026 at 07.00 hours to 6th November 2026 at 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(LAKESIDE ESTATE, RYHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 233) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new electric connection and fuse upgrade to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Lakeside Estate, Ryhill outside number 39. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Lakeside Estate.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Access maintained for residents.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th August 2026 to 10th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(LEEDS ROAD (SERVICE ROAD), LOFTHOUSE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 239) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road (service road), Lofthouse outside number 26. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road (service road).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road A61, Park View & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd August 2026 to 7th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(RIDINGS GARDENS, LOFTHOUSE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 244) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ridings Gardens, Lofthouse outside to opposite number 4. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ridings Gardens.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A cul de sac.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th August 2026 to 24th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SHAY LANE, CROFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 245) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Shay Lane, Crofton at the water treatment works. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Shay Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Greenside, Oakenshaw Lane, Doncaster Road, Lodge Lane, The Avenue, Shay Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th August 2026 between 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, clear at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
