The County of Dorset (Washpond Lane, Herston, Swanage) (30mph Speed Limit) (No. 18) Order 2026

Dorset Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Order comes into operation on 6th August 2026 the effect of the Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit along part of Washpond Lane, Swanage, from its junction with the High Street, in a northerly direction for approximately 1.1 kilometres to its junction with Burnhams Lane.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.
