What is happening?

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Dean Road, Sprouston) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 3 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 21 August 2026 between the hours of 07:00 and 16:30 each day. The Order is required for historical rail bridge repairs.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Dean Road, Sprouston.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Dean Road (D88/4), D85/4, B6350, C55 and Dean Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(OXNAM BRIDGE, OXNAM) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Oxnam Bridge, Oxnam) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 17:00 on 3 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 23 October 2026 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Bridge repair works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D91/3 Oxnam Bridge, Oxnam.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C41, D90/3 and D91/3 to the
point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
