What is happening?
(C121 ACREDALE, EYEMOUTH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C121 Acredale, Eyemouth) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 5 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 7 August 2026, as detailed below. The Order is required for patching works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C121 at Acredale, Eyemouth between the hours of 08:30 to 17:00 each day. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C121, C120, A1107 and C121 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of the C121 at Acredale, Eyemouth from the junction with the A1107 to junction of Acredale Road from 08:00 on 5 August 2026 to 17:00 on 7 August 2026.

(D2/6 WATCH WATER BRIDGE, LONGFORMACUS) (TEMPORARY WIDTH RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D2/6 Watch Water Bridge, Longformacus) (Temporary Width Restriction) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 17:00 on 10 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 9 October 2026 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of road/public safety due to due to recent vehicle impact damage.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of road/public safety, a temporary width restriction of 3.2 metres shall be implemented for vehicles on the Watch Water Bridge, Longformacus.
There is no alternative route.
