TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead proposes to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from proceeding along footpath adjacent to the front of properties 27 and 25 Abbots Way from the gable end of property 27 Abbots Way in a north easterly direction for 12.5 metres. The Order is required to facilitate installation of a water meter. The Order will come into force on 18 August 2026. The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 24 August 2026. During the works all pedestrians and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along the above footpath until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.
