What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford has made the CITY OF SALFORD (PARK STREET AREA, BROUGHTON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be No Waiting at Any Time on the following Roads:

Park Lane: both Sides from a point 33 metres north east from the northern extended kerbline of Old Hall Road to a point 34 metres south west from the southern extended kerbline of Old Hall Road.

Worthington Drive: north east side from its junction with the northerly extended kerbline of Park Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction.

Worthington Drive: south west side from its junction with the northerly extended kerbline of Park Street for a distance of 37 metres in a north westerly direction.

Park Street: both Sides from its junction with the north westerly extended kerbline of Park Lane to a point 20 metres south west of the south western extended kerbline of Worthington Drive.

Old Hall Road north side from its junction with the south easterly extended kerbline of Park Lane for a distance of 29 metres in an easterly direction.

Old Hall Road: south Side from its junction with the south easterly extended kerbline of Park Lane for a distance of 31 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order was made on 28th July 2026 and will come into effect on the 3rd August 2026. A copy of the Order and plan are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 28th July 2026 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
