The Cornwall Council (Addition of a Restricted Byway at Highertown in the Parish of Truro) Modification Order 2026
On 21 July 2026, Cornwall Council confirmed the above order made under section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Adding a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of Truro commencing at Unclassified Road U6071 'Newbridge Lane, 384 metres west-north-west of "Dudman Farm" at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 8020/4470, then running in a east-south-easterly then south-easterly direction for a distance of 688 metres and terminating at its junction with Unclassified Road U6071 'Penwethers Lane, 293 metres south-south-east of "Dudman Farm" at OSGR SW 8068/4426.

Copies of the order and map may also be requested by email from PROWOrders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202.
A copy of the Order and Map has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Truro Community Library, Union Place, Truro, TR1 1 EP from 09.00 am to 17.00 pm Monday to Friday, and from 10.00 am to 16.00 pm on Saturday. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).
The order comes into force on the day that it is confirmed but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 (1) of Schedule 15 to the Act within six weeks from 30 July 2026, make an application to the High Court.
