The Definitive Map and Statement for the Former Kerrier District Area

The Cornwall Council (Addition of a Restricted Byway together with the upgrade of a Bridleway and a Footpath to Restricted Byways at Great Work in the Parish of Breage) Modification Order 2026

The above order made on 21 July 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:

1. Adding a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of Breage commencing at Classified Road C162, 113 metres north-west of "Honeydew" at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 5968/3075, then running in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 382 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 35 Breage at OSGR SW 5998/3052, then running in a eastnorth- easterly then north-north-easterly direction for a distance of 369 metres to its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 17 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order 427 metres east-north-east of "Honeydew" at OSGR SW 6019/3077.

2. Upgrading a length of existing Public Footpath Number 17 in the Parish of Breage to Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with a Restricted Byway to be added by this Order 427 metres east-north-east of "Honeydew" at OSGR SW 6019/3077, then running in a northerly direction for a distance of 77 metres to its junction with existing Public Bridleway Number 17 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order 461 metres east-north-east of "Honeydew" at OSGR SW 6020/3085.

3. Upgrading a length of existing Public Bridleway Number 17 in the Parish of Breage to Restricted Byway commencing at its junction with existing Public Footpath Number 17 Breage to be upgraded to Restricted Byway by this Order 461 metres east-north-east of "Honeydew" at OSGR SW 6020/3085, then running in a north-north-westerly direction for a distance of 168 metres and terminating at its junction with Classified Road C162 498 metres north-east of "Honeydew" at OSGR SW 6015/3101.

Copies of the order and map may also be requested by email from PROW0rders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202. 

A copy of the Order and Map has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Helston Library and Information Service, Trengrouse Way, Helston. TR13 SAG from 09.00 am to 17.00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 10.00 am to 13.00 pm on Saturday. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY, quoting reference WCA 829, not later than 11 th September 2026, stating the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, [orto any part of it], or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State [(or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981)) may itself confirm the order [(or that part of the order)). If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State (in whole or in part) any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
