(DALBEATTIE RIDING OF THE MARCHES)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Dalbeattie on 9/8/26, 14:00 to 17:00 as follows: Biggars Mill, Port Rd, Port St, High St, John St, Barhill Rd, Southwick Rd, William St, Union St, Back Knowe, Blaire St, High St, Port St, Glenshalloch Rd, High St, The Cross, Mill St, Colliston Park, Craignair St, Maxwell St, Haugh Rd, Maxwell Park, Galla Ave, Station Rd, Craignair St, High St, Port St, Port Rd, Biggars Mill. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate Dalbeattie Riding of the Marches. Drivers should expect delays. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(DALBEATTIE CIVIC DAY PARADE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the following roads on 8/8/26: 12:00 to 14:00 Port Street, full length. 13:00 to 13:45 parade route - High Street from Port St to John St, John Street from High St to Daniel Car Park. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate the Dalbeattie Civic Day Parade. 

Alt route: John St, Barhill Rd, Southwick Rd, William St, Union St, Copeland St, Blair St, High St, A710 and vice versa. 

Minor delays should be expected for the duration of the event. Emergency vehicle access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Details may be inspected online between 30/07/2026 and 10/09/2026 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk/ or by arrangement (Tel – 033 33 33 3000). 

Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the Traffic Regulation Order on the grounds that it is not within the Statutory powers set out in the Act or relevant regulations, or that any requirement of the Act or relevant regulations has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Traffic Regulation Order was made, make an application to the Court of Session for that purpose, to the Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR, to be received by 10 September 2026.
