What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SPRINGFIELD WAY, WOLFRETON DRIVE AND WOLFRETON ROAD, ANLABY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Springfield Way, Anlaby (between Haltemprice Roundabout and Weeton Way) commencing Monday 17 August 2026 until Friday 21 August 2026 and Wolfreton Drive, Anlaby (between Springfield Way and North Street) and Wolfreton Road, Anlaby (between Springfield Way and Orchard Close) commencing Monday 24 August 2026 until Friday 4 September 2026 (nightworks only) between 19.00 hours and midnight to enable resurfacing works to be carried out. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given times. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:

FOR SPRINGFIELD WAY CLOSURE: South on Beverley Road, east on Wilson Street and north on Wolfreton Drive.
FOR WOLFRETON DRIVE: South on Wolfreton Drive, east on Hull Road then west on Springfield Way.
FOR WOLFRETON ROAD: North on Wolfreton Road, west on Kingston Road, south on Gorton Road and east on Springfield Way.

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
