TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS RAGLAN STREET & EAST STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads set out in the Schedule below.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 5th August 2026 and is required to enable the safe excavation of a trench in the carriageway for the installation of ducting.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 4th September 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ST MARTINS ROAD SERVICE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along St Martins Road Service Road commencing at its junction with Stonehaven Drive and continuing to approximately 10m north and south of the junction.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 3rd August 2026 and is required to enable telecommunications mast maintenance works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Tuesday 4th August 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SUNNINGDALE AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Sunningdale Avenue from its junction with Holbrook Road for approximately 30 metres.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Tuesday, 4 August 2026 and is required to enable small sluice valve renewal and associated works on Sunningdale Avenue to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 6 August 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Sunningdale Avenue.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

(VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) in part which will come into operation on Monday 3rd August 2026.

The effect of the Order shall be to introduce a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ (double yellow lines) restriction on the following lengths of road:

i) Clifford Bridge Road (Eastern Side) from a point 25m north of its junction with Portree Avenue to a point 25m south of its junction with Portree Avenue
ii) Clifford Bridge Road From a point 15m north of its junction with Gainford Rise to a point 16.5m north of its junction with Gainford Rise
iii) Clifford Bridge Road From a point 10m south of its junction with Gainford Rise to a point 21m south of its junction with Gainford Rise
iv) Gainford Rise (Northern Side) from a point 20m east of its junction with Clifford Bridge Road to a point 10m south east of its junction with Faygate Close
v) Portree Avenue From its junction with Clifford Bridge Road to a point 10m east of its junction with Clifford Bridge Road

The proposed restriction relating to the 10 metres of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction within Faygate Close is not proceeding and has been removed from the Order.

The Order is required as part of changes to facilitate and enhance the safety of users of the highway, particularly the Binley Cycleway. The Binley Cycleway is a scheme connecting the City Centre with University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire proposed to encourage people to cycle.

When originally advertised on 8th August 2024 the title of the Order was City of Coventry (Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024 and it has since been changed to that above.

A copy of this Notice, the Order, Statement of Reasons for making the Order and a plan(s) may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry. gov.uk/tro’

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from today, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

(CLIFFORD BRIDGE ROAD) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) REVOCATION ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on Monday, 3rd August 2026

The effect of the Order shall be to revoke the existing 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

i) Clifford Bridge Road from a point 24 metres north of its junction with Farren Road, to a point 350 metres south of its southernmost junction with Dorchester Way; and
ii) Sowe Link Road B4082 from its junction with Clifford Bridge Road eastwards for 25 metres

Removal of the current 40mph speed limit will mean that the said lengths of road will revert to being a 30mph National Speed Limit, by virtue of having Restricted Road status.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WESTWOOD HEATH ROAD COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Westwood Heath Road westbound commencing from its junction with Gibbet Hill Road to a point approximately 150m west from the junction.

The Order would come into effect at 00:01 hours on Monday 10th August 2026 and is required to allow National Grid to install HV ducts on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 21st August 2026.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Westwood Heath Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ST MARTIN’S ROAD SERVICE ROAD COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on St Martins Road Service Road commencing from its junction with Droylsdon Park Road and continuing to a point approximately 52m north of the junction.

The Order would come into effect at 00:01 hours on Monday 10th August 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to repair a wastewater pipe on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 14th August 2026.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to St Martins Road Service Road

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WILLENHALL LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Willenhall Lane commencing at its junction with Brandon Road and continuing to its junction with Deerdale Way.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 12th August 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely renew a chamber cover.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 13th August 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Willenhall Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Parry Road from its junction with Bideford Road to its junction with Heybrook Close.

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Monday, 10 August 2026 and is required to enable pole renewal and associated works on Parry Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 10 August 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;
