(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WARE AND WADESMILL) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), Ware from its junction with the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/ A602 Westmill Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 916m.
An alternative route will be via the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout and the A10 southbound slip road leading from the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout onto the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road).
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 40mph on the southbound carriageway of A10 Wadesmill Bypass, Wadesmill and A10 (unnamed road), Ware from a point 1917m north east of its junction with the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 2833m, when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because concrete repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 16 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 23 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

1. that length of A119 Hertford Road, Ware from its junction with A119 Amwell End north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A119 Ware Road, a distance of approximately 999m.
An alternative route will be via A119 London Road, A1170 (London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), A10 Amwell Link Road, A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road) and A119 Ware Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to amend The Hertfordshire (Various Roads, Standon) (Waiting Restrictions) Order 2026 as advertised on 28 May 2026 to correct the previously named road in the Order from Vicarage Road to Vicarage Close, Standon. The Order will come into effect on Friday 31 July 2026.
