ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4126 BYRON ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4126 Byron Road, Ipswich from Shakespeare Road to Macaulay Road to facilitate slurry preparation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Macaulay Road, Whitton Church Lane, Shakespeare Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2026 - 31/07/2026 from 8am - 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C453 BELSTEAD ROAD AND U5038 GIRTON WAY, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
• C453 Belstead Road, Ipswich from Girton Way to Stoke Park Drive.
• U5038 Girton Way, Ipswich.
This is to facilitate surface dressing, surface sealing and road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cambridge Drive, Birkfield Drive, Annbrook Road, Sheldrake Drive, Ellenbrook Road, Ipswich, Ellenbrook Road, Pinewood, Stoke Park Drive, Ipswich and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from
Surface dressing and surface sealing:
• 08/08/2026 - 09/08/2026 from 10am - 2pm
• 14/08/2026 - 15/08/2026 from 10am - 2pm
Road markings:
• 31/08/2026 - 04/09/2026 from 7.30pm - 5am
A further closure is scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1063 COWLINGE CORNER, LIDGATE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1063 Cowlinge Corner, Lidgate from the junction with the road from the County Boundary to the B1063 for 100 metres south westbound to facilitate bridge repair works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A143, the B1061, the A1304, the B1063 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2026 - 14/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 EAST STREET, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1115 East Street, Sudbury from 25 metres southwest of Upper East Street for 30 metres southwest to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A134, the A131, B1115 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 30/07/2026 - 6am on 31/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U5814 HUNTERS LANE, METFIELD AND MENDHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads
• U5814 Hunters Lane, Metfield
• U5814 Hunters Lane, Mendham
This is to facilitate surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1123, Fressingfield Road, Metfield and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2026 - 31/07/2026 with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C717 POWNEY STREET, MILDEN
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C717 Powney Street, Milden from 60 metres south of Church Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1115, the A1141, Clay Hill, the A1141, Union Hill, Hadleigh Road, Kersey Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/07/2026 - 31/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATHS 31 AND 33, ALDRINGHAM CUM THORPE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following footpaths
• Footpath 31, Aldringham Cum Thorpe from Old Homes Road to footpath 33
• Footpath 33, Aldringham Cum Thorpe from Old Homes Road to footpath 31
This is for safety reasons due to erosion. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Old Homes Road, North End Avenue for 500 metres northbound and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/08/2026 - 07/02/2027 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF MARTLESHAM) (FOOTPATH 30 AND FOOTPATH 51) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
This order, which came into effect on 11/02/2026, closing Footpath 30 and Footpath 51 from Footpath 30 for 500 metres north eastbound has been extended in force by the Minister until 31/03/2027, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
This closure remains required due to facilitate safety reasons for earth and landscaping works. Without extension the order would have been in effect until 10/08/2026.
There will be no diversion route.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SUFFOLK COASTAL) (FELIXSTOWE) (VARIOUS ROADS) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above Order for the District of Suffolk Coastal, under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce:
A 20 mph speed limit to:
• Bluebell Way, on both sides, from junction with Cowpasture Way travelling north west for a distance of 144m, then the right hand spur from its junction with Bluebell Way to the turning head 54m;
• Violet Close, on both sides, from the junction with Cowpasture Drive for 73.5m heading east;
• Poppy Lane, on both sides, from the cul-de-sac end to the junction of Cowpasture Drive in a northerly direction for 178m;
• Campion Lane, on both sides, from the junction of Cowpasture Drive to the junction with Poppy Lane for 150m;
• Buttercup Crescent, on both sides, for its entire length between the two junctions with Cowpasture Drive for 246m;
• Ivy Close, on both sides, from the junction with Cowpasture Drive to the end of the road for 67m in length;
• Primrose Gardens, on both sides, from the junction with Cowpasture Drive to the end of the road for 88.5m in length.
Copies of the draft Order, map showing the roads affected and the Council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday also at Felixstowe Library, Crescent Road, Felixstowe IP11 7BY, Sunday and Monday: 10am - 4pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9am - 5.30pm, Wednesday: 9am - 7.30pm, Saturday: 9am - 5pm.
