(AMENDMENT) (NO. 243) ORDER 2026
Various Streets, Rochdale
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to:-
(i) Amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-
Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
Ramsay Street, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the northerly side from a point 69 metres north-east of its junction with Bulwer Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction
Jermyn Street, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the southerly side from a point 22 metres north-east of its junction with Lomax Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction
Redcar Street, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the easterly side from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Howard Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction
Rugby Road, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the easterly side from a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Aden Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction
Medley Street, Central Rochdale Ward
n(i) the northerly side from a point 30 metres south-west of its junction with Grouse Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-westerly direction

n(i) the southerly side from a point 74 metres south-east of its junction with Churchill Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

n(i) the westerly side from a point 108 metres south-east of its junction with Thornham New Road for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

n(i) the northerly side from a point 30 metres north-west of its junction with Ash Grove for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction
Crowneast Street, Bamford Ward
n(i) the north-westerly side of its cul-de-sac end within the inset bay for a distance of 3 metres (in width) in a north-easterly direction and extending 6 metres (in length) from the northerly kerbline in a south-easterly direction
Vicarage Road South, Castleton Ward
n(i) the southerly side from a point 11 metres south-east of its junction with Wasdale Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction
Oldham Road, Kingsway Ward
n(i) the easterly side from a point 58 metres north of its junction with Exmouth Street for a distance of 6 metres in a northerly direction
Durham Street, Milkstone & Deeplish Ward
n(i) the southerly side from a point 88 metres south-east of its junction with Falmouth Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction
Pullman Street, Milkstone & Deeplish Ward
n(i) the westerly side from a point 107 metres north-west of its junction with Cecil Street for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction

n(i) the north-easterly side from a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Stratford Avenue for distance of 3 metres (in width) in a north-easterly direction and extending 6 metres (in length) from the north-westerly kerbline in a south-easterly direction (ii) Revoke those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, as follows:-

Buckingham Street, Central Rochdale Ward (TRO 1864)
n(i) the east side from a point 30 metres south-east of its junction with South Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction
Edenfield Road, Spotland & Falinge Ward (TRO 1661)
n(i) the north side from a point 34 metres east of its junction with Rooley Street for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction
n(ii) the north side from a point 77 metres east of its junction with Ings Lane for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction
A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the lengths of roads concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council's website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.
Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 19th August 2026, quoting reference H60/1308-26/ROC.

This proposed Order will also amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic
Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008 by way of the following:-
(i) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule No. 2.34 - No Waiting 6am - 8pm'; and,
(ii) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule 5.30 - No Loading 6am - 8pm'.
