(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to carry out carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Bloomfield Road between its junction with Ansdell Road and its junction with Central Drive.
(b) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Falmouth Road
(c) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Shetland Road
(d) No left or right turn onto Bloomfield Road from its junction with Dunelt Road
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained wherever possible. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 19 August 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 8 days.
