THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM
Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Station Road, Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic And Pedestrians) Order 2026

Notice Of Intent

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate the installation of a new telecommunications pole and cab, The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intend to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 24 August 2026. The works expected for:
- The installation of a new telecommunications pole and cab to take 4 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Thursday 27 August 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken in 2 phases between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-
Phase 1 - Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Station Road, northbound carriageway, from a point 39 metres north of its junction with Burnside Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 71 and 73 Station Road.

Phase 2 - Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Station Road, both sides, from its junction with Burnside Road to a point 1.8 metres north of the extended common boundary of Nos. 71 and 73 Station Road.

Phase 1 and 2 - Prohibit all pedestrians on Station Road, west side footpath, from a point 39 metres north of its junction with Burnside Road to a point in line with the extended common boundary of Nos. 71 and 73 Station Road.

4. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be maintained and signed:
- For Phase 1 and 2 via: Station Road temporary crossing outside Nos. 65 and 67 Station Road, Station Road east side footpath, and Station Road crossing at its junction with Burnside Road.

5. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
For Phase 2 via: Freshwater Road, Selinas Lane, Whalebone Lane South (A1112), High Road (A1118) and Station Road.

- For Phase 2 via: Wangey Road, High Road (A1118), Whalebone Lane South (A1112), Selinas Lane and Freshwater Road.
