Wayford - Temporary Road Closure Due To Replacement Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parishes of West Crewkerne and Wayford Temporary Closure of Wayford Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Wayford Hill - from the junction with Clapton Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 88 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out pole replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 29th July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd August 2026 and last until 4th August 2026 between the hours of 9:00 - 15:30 for a total of 2 days.
