Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic
Orders: GRIFF WAY, NUNEATON

Order Effect: A 30-mph speed restriction will be imposed on Griff Way, Nuneaton from the roundabout at its junction with College Street to a point 520metres south.

Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users and of the contractors working to install a hydrant.

Order Commences: 5 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2026.

Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

JUSTICE WALK & WHEAT STREET, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic; footpaths closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: Carriageway reconstruction works for the Transforming Nuneaton A444 Wheat Street scheme. Phased works, Footpaths and roads, weekends only as follows: 31/07- 03/08/2026, 07-10/08/2026. 14-17/08/2026, 21-24/08/2026, 04-07/09/2026, 18-21/09/2026. 

Order Commences: 1 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 20 September 2026.

Contractor: Route One TM, Tel: 0121 289 4222.

HUMPHREY DAVY ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Jeffery Close.

Reason for Order: To enable permanent reinstatement works.

Order Commences: 3 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 3 August 2026.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders: ASTLEY LANE, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable works to renew pole.

Order Commences: 21 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Astley Lane, Windmill Lane, Howe Green Lane, Breach Oak Lane, Smorrall Lane and vice versa.
Contractor: Openreach, Tel: 03700 500792.

D1088 WICLIF WAY, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Pennine Way to St. Pauls Primary School.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, 08.00hrs - 17.00hrs.

Order Commences: 17 August 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 20 August 2026.

Access & Diversion: Wiclif Way, Ansley Road, Church Road, Wiclif Way and vice versa.

Access/egress to/from Wenlock Way will be via Mendip Drive, Pennine Way or Kingswood Road whilst works are in progress.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
