Mae’r Cyngor yn bwriadu, mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o 04/08/2026, gwneud Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Ceredigion (C1132, U5085 a’r U5088 Rhydlewis, Llandysul) (Gwaharddiad Dros Dro ar Draffig Trwyddo) 2026 i wahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag teithio ar hyd y briffordd dan sylw. Cynhelir mynediad cyhoeddus.

Cam 1 - Y C1132 o fynedfa Penlan Newydd i’w chyffordd â’r U5088 a’r U5085 o’i chyffordd â’r C1132 i fynedfa Walun. Dyddiad 14/08/2026 - 17/08/2026.

Trowch i’r chwith ar yr A487 a theithiwch i’w chyffordd â’r B4334 ym Mrynhoffaint. Trowch i’r chwith ar y B4334 a theithiwch i’w chyffordd â’r U5088. Trowch i’r chwith ar yr U5088 a theithiwch hyd at bwynt i’r gorllewin o’r rhan o’r ffordd sydd ar gau; ac i’r gwrthwyneb.

Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 4.8 milltir.

Bydd yr holl ffyrdd yr effeithir arnynt yn cau eu cau bob dydd o 09.30 i 15.30.

Bwriedir i’r Gorchymyn ddod i rym ar 14/08/2026 a bydd yn parhau tan fod gwaith ceblau, profi polion a thorri coed wedi’i gwblhau gan BT Openreach – tua 2 wythnos.

Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau mewn grym am 18 mis.

Ceredigion County Council

The Council intends, not less than 7 days from 04/08/2026, to make the Ceredigion County Council (C1132, U5085 and U5088 Rhydlewis, Llandysul) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2026 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway. Pedestrian access maintained.

Phase 1 - C1132 from the entrance of Penlan Newydd to its junction with the U5088 and U5085 from its junction with the C1132 to the entrance of Waun. Date 14/08/2026 - 17/08/2026.

The alternative route for south-west bound traffic from a point north-east of the closure is to travel along the C1132 to its junction with the A487 at Pentregat. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the B4334 at Brynhoffnant. Turn left onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the C1132 at Rhydlewis. Turn left onto the C1132 and travel to a point south-east of the closure; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 7.9 miles.

The alternative route for south-west bound and north-east bound traffic from a point north of the closure on the U5085 is to travel along the U5085 to its junction with the A487T and follow existing diversion (turning right for north-east bound traffic or turning left for south-west bound traffic); and vice versa.

Phase 2 - C1132 from a point 65 yards north from its junction with the U5088 to its junction with the C1135 and U5088 from a point 90 yards west from its junction with the C1132. Date 18/08/2026 - 22/08/2026.

The alternative route for southbound traffic from a point north of the closure is to travel along the C1132 to its junction with the A487T at Pentregat. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the B4334 at Brynhoffnant. Turn left onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the C1132 at Rhydlewis. Turn left onto the C1132 and travel to a point south of the closure; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 7.7 miles.

The alternative route for southbound and northbound traffic from a point west of the closure on the U5088 is to travel along the U5088 to its junction with the A487T and follow existing diversion (turning right for northbound traffic or turning left for southbound traffic); and vice versa.

Phase 3 - U5088 from its junction with the C1132 to the entrance of Pant yr Holiad. Date 23/08/2026 - 27/08/2026.

The alternative route for westbound traffic from a point east of the closure is to travel along the C1132 to its junction with the A487T at Pentregat. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the B4334 at Brynhoffnant. Turn left onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the U5088. Turn left onto the U5088 and travel to a point west of the closure; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 4.8 miles.

All the roads affected will be closed daily between the hours of 09:30 to 15:30. It is intended that the Order will come into force on 14/08/2026 and will continue until cabling, pole testing and tree cutting works have been completed by BT Openreach – approximately 2 weeks. The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
