THE A303 TRUNK ROAD (CHICKLADE)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A303 trunk road in the County of Wiltshire to allow works access to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place on or after 10 August 2026 and be completed by 5 December 2026.
The effect of the Order would be to impose a mandatory 30 mph speed limit on the A303 eastbound from the entrance to Michell Motors Restorations Limited to the turning for JAMS Interiors Vintage Art at Chicklade.
The speed limit (which would not apply to emergency service or special forces vehicles) would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order would come into force on 8 August 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
