Portsmouth City Council (Commercial Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.129) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 12th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
COMMERCIAL ROAD OFFSLIP LEADING TO FITZHERBERT STREET
From its junction with Commercial Road Offslip to Fitzherbert Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 12th August 2026 to 14th August 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Commercial Road Off Slip Leading To Fitzherbert Street, Fitzherbert Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
