(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0202004 POULTON LE FYLDE, AND A NON DEFINTIVE ROUTE TO WHICH THE PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpaths indicated below:-
A Non Definitive Route to which the Public have Access from between Holts Lane (Point E) and Aldon Road (Point F) across the railway line in an easterly direction for 54 metres. Grid Reference SD 33575,43883 and SD 33587,43884
Public Footpath FP0202004 Poulton Le Fylde, Wyre, between Holts Lane and Aldon Road, from Point A running parallel to the railway line in northerly direction to Point B before crossing the railway in an easterly direction to Point C and running back parallel to the railway in a southerly direction for 94 metres to Point D. Grid Reference SD 33575,43883 and SD 33583,43884.
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in this order shall apply to emergency service vehicles, public rights of way officers of the County Council on foot or to those undertaking any necessary works.
The Order will be operative from the 21st July, 2026, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
