What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1069 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1069 Princes Street, Ipswich southbound only from Grafton Way for 70 metres southbound to facilitate remedial water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Grafton Way, Commercial Road and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 06/08/2026 - 6am on 07/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U890 BOSWELL LANE, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U890 Boswell Lane, Hadleigh from 130 metres northeast of Freeman Close for 20 metres north eastbound to facilitate top tap repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Boswell Lane, Calais Street, the B1070 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/07/2026 - 29/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON THE A154 CANDLET ROAD, GARRISON LANE AND WALTON AVENUE, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order suspending the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the:
? A154 Candlet Road, Felixstowe
? A154 Garrison Lane, Felixstowe
? A154 Walton Avenue, Felixstowe.
This is to facilitate use as a diversion during roadworks on the A14. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 06/08/2026 - 11/09/2026 from 10pm - 6am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1508 BURES ROAD, THE U8619 SPOUT LANE AND THE U8621 WYATTS LANE, LITTLE CORNARD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
? the B1508 Bures Road, Little Cornard from 60 metres northwest of Wyatts Lane for 610 metres southbound
? the U8619 Spout Lane, Little Cornard from Bures Road for 62 metres north eastbound
? the U8621 Wyatts Lane, Little Cornard from Bures Road for 340 metres north eastbound.
This is to facilitate the replacement of poles and wires. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
? (for Bures Road) the A131, the A134 and vice versa.
? (for Spout Lane and Wyatts Lane) Chapel Lane, Upper Road, Little Cornard, Workhouse Green, Upper Road, Little Cornard, Dorking Tye, Assington Road, Cuckoo Hill and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/08/2026 - 07/08/2026 from 9.30am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1189 RANSOMES WAY, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1189 Ransomes Way, Ipswich from the railway bridge for 10 metres northbound and 10 metres southbound to facilitate vegetation removal and a structure examination. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1156 Felixstowe Road, the A14, the A1189 Nacton Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10pm on 06/08/2026 - 6am on 07/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1120 BADINGHAM ROAD, FRAMLINGHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1120 Badingham Road, Framlingham from the junction with Brabling Green to Saxmundham Road to facilitate surface dressing, sealing and road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1119, the B1116, the A1120, the B1120 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
? Surface dressing and sealing - 06/08/2026 - 14/08/2026 from 10am - 2pm
? Road markings - 28/08/2026 - 02/09/2026 from 7.30pm - 5am.
There will be a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
