Rochdale - Multiple Road Traffic Notices

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
((CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS)
(VARIOUS STREETS) (HEYWOOD TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008)
(AMENDMENT) (NO. 88) ORDER 2026 

Various Streets, Heywood

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to:-
(i) Amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:- 

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
Dewhurst Street, North Heywood Ward
n(i) within the inset bay along the southerly side from a point 23 metres south-east of its junction with Aspinall Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

(ii) Revoke those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008, as follows:-

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
Hind Hill Street, North Heywood Ward (TRO 1662)
n(i) the east side from a point 16 metres north of its junction with Egerton Street for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction

Cedar Avenue, North Heywood Ward (TRO 1761)
n(i) the south-east side from a point 118 metres southwest of its junction with Furness Avenue for a distance of 6 metres in a south-westerly direction

A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the lengths of roads concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council's website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.

Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 20th August 2026, quoting reference H60/1308-26/HEY.

This proposed Order will also amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Heywood Township) Order 2008 by way of the following:-

(i) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule No. 2.34 - No Waiting 6am-8pm'; and,

(ii) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule 5.30 - No Loading 6am-8pm'.
