TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C566 OLD STATION ROAD AND LINK PATH BETWEEN GLEBE WAY AND OLD STATION ROAD, MENDLESHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the:

• C566 Old Station Road, Mendlesham from Middy Close to Mendlesham Primary School.

• Link Path between Glebe Way and Old Station Road, Mendlesham.

This to facilitate the renewal of a water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. The diversion routes will be:

• for Old Station Road: Station Road, C566 from U5249 to U5218, Road from C409 to 5249, Road from C566 to the Parish Border, Debenham Road, the A140, Road from C566 to A140, Brockford Road, Church Road, Front Street and vice versa.

• For Link Path between Glebe Way and Old Station Road: Glebe Way, Church Street, Front Street, Old Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

• 27/07/2026 – 09/08/2026

• 10/08/2026 – 14/08/2026 from 8am – 5pm

• 15/08/2026 – 19/08/2026.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C487 ALL SAINTS ROAD, Creeting St Mary

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C487 All Saints Road, Creeting St Mary from Meadow View House to Grange Farm to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be All Saints Road, the A140, Kettle Lane, B1078, Flordon Road, Jacks Green Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 – 29/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8908 HIGHLANDS ROAD, Hadleigh

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8908 Highlands Road, Hadleigh from the junction with Edwin Panks Road for 20 metres southbound to facilitate the installation of a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Station Road, Magdalen Road, Tyler Road, Highlands Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 – 31/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ON THE U3124 FELIXSTOWE ROAD, Trimley St Martin

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a one-way restriction on the:

• U3124 Felixstowe Road, Trimley St Martin westbound

• U3124 Felixstowe Road, Trimley St Martin eastbound.

This is to enable use as a diversionary route due to works on the A14. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

• Westbound - Felixstowe Road, High Road, the A14 with no vice versa

• Eastbound - the A14, High Road, Felixstowe Road with no vice versa.

It is intended that this restriction will operate from

• Westbound - 27/07/2026 - 05/08/2026 from 10pm - 6am

• Eastbound - 10/08/2026 - 21/08/2026 from 10pm - 6am.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4505 LOWER ROAD AND C433 FEN STREET, Onehouse and Buxhall

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• U4505 Lower Road, Onehouse from the junction with Fen Street for 50 metres northbound

• C433 Fen Street, Buxhall from Lower Road for 20 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate repairs to a retaining wall. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Lower Road, the B1115, the A1308, Tot Hill, Haughley New Street, Stowmarket Road, Elmswell Road, Haughley, Wetherden Road, Cross Street, Church Street, the A1088, Elmswell Road, Woolpit Head Road, The Heath, Borley Green, Lower Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 10/08/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1112 Station Road, Lakenheath from the junction with Briscoe Way for 450 metres eastbound to facilitate the installation of a road crossing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1112, the A134, the A1065, the B1112 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 14/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Edgar Avenue, Jubilee Avenue, Combs Lane, Poplar Hill and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the B1125, Blythburgh from Brick Farm Cottage to the junction with Lymballs Lane to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 28/07/2026 - 30/07/2026 from 7pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2827 EASTWARD HO AND GRIMSEY ROAD, Leiston

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. U2827 Eastward Ho, Leiston from the junction with Seaward Avenue to no. 44.

2. U2827 Grimsey Road, Leiston from the junction with Sizewell Road for 250 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate a gas main replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Seaward Avenue, High Street, Sizewell Road and vice versa.

2. Seaward Avenue, Sylvester Road, Sizewell Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 14/09/2026 but, if necessary, may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7438 The Street, Lawshall, from Donkey Lane for 50 metres north westbound to facilitate pole and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Harrow Green, Lambs Lane, Melford Road, the road between the U4379 and the C685, Mill Hill, Little Chadacre, Shimpling Road, Hanningfield Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 28/07/2026 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON THE C370 HIGH ROAD AND HOWLETT WAY, Trimley St Martin

Suffolk County Council has made an order suspending the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the:

• C370 High Road, Trimley St Martin

• C370 Howlett Way, Trimley St Martin.

This is to facilitate use as a diversion during works on the A14. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C240 North Green Road, Parham to facilitate trial hole works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be The Street, Hall Road, Road from Mill Green to C242, Mill Green, North Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4610 STONEBRIDGE LANE, THE U4609 SCHOOL ROAD AND THE U4630 SANDFORD ROAD, Stowupland and Old Newton

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

• the U4610 Stonebridge Lane, Stowupland from the junction with School Road for 50 metres southbound

• the U4609 School Road, Old Newton from 40 metres west of Stonebridge Lane to 40 metres east of Stonebridge Lane

• the U4630 Sandford Road, Old Newton at the junction with School Road.

This is to facilitate overhead electrical poling and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

• (for School Road) Rendall Lane, Gipping Road, Thorney Green Road, the B1115, the B1113, School Road and vice versa.

• (for Stonebridge Lane) Stonebridge Lane, the B1113, School Road and vice versa.

• (for Sandford Road) Sandford Lane, Chapel Road, School Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/08/2026 from 8.30am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
