U55M ALFORD – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U55M, Forbes, Alford – 27.07.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 27.07.26 until 07.08.26 and will prohibit any person from driving on the U55M, Forbes, Alford from Junction A944 to Nether Balfour Cotts.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety to allow for fiber infrastructure installation works. An alternative route is available via the U55M – A944 – C123M – C56M – U55M and vice versa.
