What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Public Bridleway No. 13/4, Parish of Buckingham) (Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Bridleway No.13/4 from the junction of BUC/BW/13/4 and Needlepin Way, continuing north for approximately100m to A421. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to drainage connection taking place. Alternative route is via existing public highway. The proposed Order come into operation on 20 July 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Footpath No. 1/1, Parish of Stoke Poges) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 1/1, from the junction of STP/FP/1/1 & Stoke Road, continuing west to the junction of STP/FP/1/2 and STP/FP/2/1. The Alternative route is along Fir Tree Avenue. The closure is required to allow for works to proceed in accordance with the approved development of the South Bucks Country Club. The Order will come into operation on 7 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
