What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (WESTON LONGVILLE, C167 WESTON GREEN ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
Norfolk County Council has made the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 22nd July 2026 which comes into operation on the 31st July 2026, the effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicles from entering or proceeding along the C167 Weston Green Road from its junction with the U57214 Breck Road to its junction with the U57217 Church Hill Lane.
The prohibition contains exemptions for motor vehicles accessing properties and or businesses situated in the C167 Weston Green Road in addition to an exemption to enable compliance with the Construction Traffic Management Plan as required by The Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon Extensions Offshore Wind Farm Order 2024.
A copy of the Order and a plan can be viewed online at www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council, The Horizon Centre, Broadland Business Park, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF during normal office hours. Online viewing is recommended.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
