What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON

A41 NORTH WESTERN AVENUE, WOODSIDE)

ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside from its junction with the A41 The Dome roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 760m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 27 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

ROAD HUMP NOTICE (DENHAM WAY, MAPLE CROSS)

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Maple Cross as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

It is also proposed under sections 90A – 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install a speed table in that length of Denham Way access road, Maple Cross as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 24 July 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Three Rivers and looking at Ref: TR00426.

General enquiries relating to the proposals should be referred to the Highways Engineer concerned Samantha Royal tel: 0300 123 4047 or samantha.royal@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

Objections or other representations to the proposals should be made in writing to tro.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CHO242), Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by 14 August 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Part of the Denham Way access road located directly north/north-east of Franklins.

SCHEDULE 2: Raised speed table – that length of the Denham Way access road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan – Denham Way access road located approximately 150 metres north of Franklins – from its junction with the south east kerbline of Denham Way south eastwards for 14 metres.

The above raised speed table will be constructed at a height of approximately 100mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:15-1:20.

(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Wright Close, Bushey as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 24 July 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Hertsmere and looking at Ref: H00326.
