What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MIDDLESBROUGH (CENTRAL & NORTH AREA) (WAITING AND LOADING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough ("the Council") in accordance with the provisions of Section 21 of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 S.I. 1996 No 2489 ("the Regulations") and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 32(1), 35, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended ("the Act") have made an Order, the effect of which is to revoke the provisions of The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Central and North Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (and its subsequent amendments) and re-enact those provisions without any change of substance by implementing The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Central and North Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2026. It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 5th August 2026.
