What is happening?
BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(SANDY LANE, OSCOTT) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council have made an Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers the effect of which will be as follows:
• To introduce 20mph Speed limit on a length of SANDY LANE, OSCOTT from the junction with Beeches Road to a point outside property No 71.
The Order will come into operation on 31st July 2026.
A copy of the Order together with the plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons will be made available on request. (Contact Iain Aiken email: iain.aiken@birmingham.gov.uk or karl.randall@ birmingham.gov.uk) or telephone Karl Randall 07766 924044).
If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order may within 6 weeks from 30th July 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
