What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE DUFFIELD BANK AND MAKENEY ROAD, DUFFIELD
WHEN: 17 August to 21 August 2026
WHERE: Duffield Bank, Duffield from Makeney Road for approx. 60m.
REASON: To facilitate the clearing of carriageway blockages.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Duffield Bank, Makeney Road, A6, And A6, A38, B6179, Duffield Road, Eaton Bank and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
