(VARIOUS STREETS) (MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008)
(AMENDMENT) (NO. 103) ORDER 2026
Various Streets, Middleton

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to:-

(i) Amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets)
(Middleton Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
Fern Close, East Middleton Ward
n(i) the south-east side within the inset bay from a point 57 metres south-east of its junction with Baytree Lane for a distance of 2.5 metres (in width) in a south-westerly direction and extending 5.4 metres (in length) from the south-easterly kerbline in a north-westerly direction

The Glen, East Middleton Ward
n(i) within the southerly cul-de-sac from a point 76 metres south-west of its junction with Kingsway extending along the western kerb in a south-westerly direction for a distance of circa 5 metres

Andover Avenue, East Middleton Ward
n(i) along the south-eastern kerbline of the cul-de-sac accessed from a point 9 metres south-east of its junction with Lincoln Road for a distance of 6 metres (in length) in a northeasterly direction and a distance of 3 metres (in width) in a north-westerly direction (ii) Revoke those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008, as follows:-

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
The Moss, East Middleton Ward
n(i) within the southerly cul-de-sac from a point 76 metres south-west of its junction with Kingsway extending along the western kerb in a south-westerly direction for a distance of circa 5 metres

Ogden Street, East Middleton Ward
n(i) the north side from a point 8 metres south-west of its junction with Taylor Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-westerly direction

Tintern Road, Hopwood Hall Ward
n(i) the north-westerly side from a point 26 metres south-west of its junction with Romsey Avenue for a distance of 3 metres in a south-westerly direction

A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the lengths of roads concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council's website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.

Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 20th August 2026, quoting reference H60/1308-26/MID.

This proposed Order will also amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008 by way of the following:-
(i) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule No. 2.34 - No Waiting 6am-8pm'; and,
(ii) Insertion of a new Item 'Schedule 5.30 - No Loading 6am-8pm'.
