WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (SIDNEY STREET AND CLIFFORD STREET, BARROW IN FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable building works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) Sidney Street, Barrow in Furness, from its junction with Duke Street, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 45m.
(ii) Clifford Street, Barrow in Furness, from its junction with Sidney Street, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 20m.
Alternative Route: via Duke Street, Cornwallis Street, St Vincent Street and Clifford Street.
Duration: From 11th August 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROW/19687)

The Order will come into operation on 11th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
