Blake Street - Temporary No Waiting & No Loading Restriction for EV Charging Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (BLAKE STREET, BARROW-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway improvements work to facilitate the installation of EV charging points to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of Blake Street, Barrow-In-Furness (south east side) from a point approx. 35 metres north east of its junction with Duke Street, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 40 metres.

The Order will come into operation on 10th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 12 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
