TEMPORARY CLOSURE 408409 SNEYD WOOD ROAD
(CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 408409 Sneyd Wood Road, from outside the property known as ‘No. 31’ to outside the property known as ‘No. 37’, for a distance of approximately 25 metres. The reason for the said closure is for manhole works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on 27th July 2026 only.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 500098 CHAPEL HILL
(AYLBURTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500098 Chapel Hill outside of the property known as ‘Little Orchard’ for a distance of approximately 50 metres. The reason for the closure is works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 5th August 2026 until 16:00hrs on 7th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

(HEWELSFIELD AND BROCKWEIR PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the 400190 Bailey Lane from outside of the property known as ‘Hopewell House’ to outside of the property known
as ‘Apple Acre’ for a distance of approximately 150 metres. The reason for the closure is for drainage works. There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The road is expected to be closed from 3rd August 2026 to 5th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

metres. The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs until 17:00hrs on 5th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS
(VARIOUS TOWNS AND PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads
as detailed in the Schedule below. 

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway dressing works.

There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 3rd August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th November 2026.

(LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 406125 Naas Lane, from its junction with the A48 for a distance of approximately 500 metres in a southwardly direction from the junction. The reason for the said closure is for level crossing maintenance works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 23:55hrs on 17th August 2026 until 06:00hrs on 18th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400019 Belmont Road, from its junction with Brockweir Road to outside the property known as ‘Ingleside’ for a distance of approximately 70 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 17th August 2026 until 18:00hrs on 19th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
