Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brantham Road, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 75m north west then north east of its junction with Dale Hall Roundabout for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2026 for 1 night 23:00-06:00, or where stated on a valid permit (KL735LTN-59-43-090826 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing testing works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via A137, A133, A1232, A12, A14, A137 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
