Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

A227 Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge, TN10 3RR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Lodge, Cuttens, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Shipbourne Road, A227 High Street, A227 Bordyke, A227 Hadlow Road, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 High Street, A26 Maidstone Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 The Street, A227 Bates Hill, A227 Tonbridge Road, A227 Shipbourne Road and vice versa.



A229 Bluebell Hill Slip South On, Bluebell Hill, ME5 9PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Bluebell Hill Slip South On, Bluebell Hill, on or after 22nd August 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, in 2 phases between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site as detailed below:

Phase 1 - Start date 22nd August 2026, with estimated completion by 23rd August 2026, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only.

Phase 2 - Start date 29th August 2026, with estimated completion by 31st August 2026, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, A229 Blue Bell Hill Northbound, A229 Maidstone Road Northbound, A229 Tiger Moth Roundabout, A229 Maidstone Road Southbound, A229 Bluebell Hill Southbound.



B2015 Bow Road, Wateringbury, ME18 5EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water supply disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2015 Bow Road, Wateringbury, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property numbers 92 to 94. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2015 Bow Road, B2015 Maidstone Road, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.



Basted Lane, Borough Green, TN15 8PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Basted Lane, Borough Green, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from in the vicinity of Bowmans, for a distance approximately 180 metres to the junction with Long Mill Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plough Hill, Mill Lane, Basted Mill, Thong Lane, Quarry Hill Road, A25 Maidstone Road, Crouch Lane, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.



Bells Farm Road, Hadlow, TN11 0JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gully cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bells Farm Road, Hadlow, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Stanford Lane to the junction with Court Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bells Farm Road, Bullen Lane, Hatches Lane, Court Lane and vice versa.



Church Street, Burham, ME1 3SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Burham, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rochester Road, New Court Road and vice versa.



Mill Lane, Hildenborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from just after the drive to property named Negril’s to the end of the drain channel. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vines Lane, Riding Lane, Shipbourne Road, Underriver House Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.



New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow link box installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and suspend one way on part of New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The restrictions will apply from the junction with River Walk to the junction with A227 High Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 High Street, Bradford Street, River Walk and vice versa.



Old Chatham Road, Aylesford, ME20 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Chatham Road, Aylesford, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Chatham Road, Chatham Road and vice versa.



Old School Lane, Ryarsh, ME19 5LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage cleansing and jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old School Lane, Ryarsh, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with The Street to property named The Bungalow. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



The Street, Plaxtol, TN15 0QT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow underground service cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Plaxtol, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Pippins. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Long Mill Lane, Dunks Green Road, Hamptons Road, School Lane, The Street and vice versa.
