Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2914 Newington Road & Whitehall Road, Ramsgate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2014 Newington Road & Whitehall Road, Ramsgate, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
B2014 Newington Road will be closed between the junctions of A255 High Street and A254 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2014 Newington Road, A255 High Street, A255 Park Road, Shah Place, A254 Margate Road and vice versa.
Whitehall Road will be closed between the junctions of B2014 Newington Road and A254 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whitehall Road, A254 Margate Road, B2014 Newington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapel Place, Ramsgate, CT11 9RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Place, Ramsgate, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Chapel Place will be closed outside number 26.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of High Street and Elms Avenue.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Cannon Road, Elms Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottage Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottage Road, Ramsgate, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the rear of Dundee House outside number 23 to outside number 26, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottage Road, Abbots Hill, Camden Road, Camden Square, La Belle Alliance Square, Plains Of Waterloo, B2054 Wellington Crescent and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dane Park Road, Ramsgate, CT11 7JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dane Park Road, Ramsgate, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 49, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Park Road, A255 Hereson Road, Cecilia Road, Dumpton Park Road, Dane Crescent and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Green Lane, Broadstairs, CT10 2RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow surface dressing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Broadstairs, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Vicarage Street, A255 Broadstairs Road, Green Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Margate, CT9 1EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Margate, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
High Street will be closed outside number 2A.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of New Street and Market Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Lombard Street, B2055 Hawley Street, New Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Ramsgate, on or after 5th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside flat 5 number 112, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chatham Street, A255 Park Road, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Market Street & Lombard Street, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Market Street & Lombard Street, Margate, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Market Street will be closed between the junctions of B2051 The Parade and Queens Arms Yard. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length.
The one-way Order will be suspended on Lombard Street the entire length.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2055 Hawley Street, Cecil Square, Queen Street, Marine Gardens, A28 Marine Terrace, B2051 Marine Drive, Market Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Nash Road, Margate, CT9 4FY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nash Road, Margate, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Churchill Living retirement home, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nash Road, Star Lane, Star Lane Link, A256 Haine Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Augustines Park, Ramsgate, CT11 0GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Augustines Park, Ramsgate, on or after 19th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2054 London Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Thanet Road, Margate, CT9 1UB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thanet Road, Margate, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 56 Gore Brothers, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Thanet Road, Victoria Road, Dane Road, Park Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
York Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of York Street, Ramsgate, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 17 to outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Street, Leopold Street, B2054 Royal Parade and York Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
