Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A25 Maidstone Road, Riverhead, TN13 3DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a detailed examination of the rail over road bridge, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A25 Maidstone Road, Riverhead, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via A25 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, Pembroke Road, A225 High Street, A225 Dartford Road, A225 St Johns Hill, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road and vice versa.



A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, DA4 0BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the reconnection of an existing electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 2 nights between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Littlecroft.

The alternative route is via A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham ByPass, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wortham Road, A227 Western Road, A25 Borough Green Road, A25 Ightham Bypass, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 High Street, A25 Seal Road, A225 Otford Road, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Station Road, A225 Shoreham Road, A225 Station Road and A225 High Street.



B269 Pootings Road, Crockham Hill, TN8 6RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B269 Pootings Road, Crockham Hill, on or after 7th August 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 95m north of the junction with Pollards Lane.

The alternative route is via B269 Pootings Road, B2027 Four Elms Road, B2026 Station Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane and vice versa.



Bunkers Hill Road, Ash, TN15 7EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of cabling for new customer connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bunkers Hill Road, Ash, on or after 5th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Rectory Road and Pond Farm.

The alternative route is via Rectory Road, New Street Road and vice versa.



Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, DA4 9LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Three Gates Road and Beeches Farm Cottages.

The alternative route is via Scudders Hill, Valley Road, Fawkham Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Canada Farm Road, Pinden and vice versa.



Chipstead Park, Sevenoaks, TN13 2SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of a collapsed sewer pipe, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chipstead Park, Sevenoaks, on or after 4th August 2026 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from numbers 39 to 41.

The alternative route is via Chipstead Park.



Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, on or after 22nd August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

Cotmans Ash Lane will be closed between Cotmans Ash and Highfields and between Pilgrims Way and Crowdleham Cottage.

The alternative routes for any through traffic is via:

Cotmans Ash Lane, Clarkes Green Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

Pilgrims Way, Childsbridge Lane, West End, High Street, Heaverham Road and vice versa.



Highfields Road, Hillcrest Road, Meadow Lane and Swan Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of gas main replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Highfields Road, Hillcrest Road, Meadow Lane and Swan Lane, Edenbridge.

Highfields Road closed - 3 August 2026 to 23 August 2026

Hillcrest Road closed - 3 August 2026 to 23 August 2026

Meadow Lane closed - 24 August 2026 to 7 September 2026

Swan Lane closed - 7 September 2026 to - 13 September 2026

Highfields Road, Hillcrest Road, Meadow Lane will be closed for their entire lengths.

Swan Lane at the junction of B2026 Main Road.

The alternative routes are:

Highfield Road – Swan Lane, B2026 Main Road and vice versa

Hillcrest Road – B2026 Main Road, Swan Lane Highfield Road and vice versa

Meadow Lane – Access will be maintained when safe to do so.

Swan Lane – B2027 Four Elms Road, B269 Pootings Road, B269 Spout Lane, B2026 Main Road and vice versa



Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hilders Lane, Edenbridge, on or after 7th August 2026 for up to 4 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 75m east of the entrance to Hilders Cottage.

The alternative route is via Hilders Lane, B2026 Main Road/Station Road/Mont St Aignan Way, Stangrove Road, Crouch House Road, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.



Hill Hoath Road, Chiddingstone, TN8 7AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hill Hoath Road, Chiddingstone, on or after 5th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 200m down from the entrance to Cherry Orchard.

There is no alternative route but access will be maintained as and when safe to do so.



How Green Lane, Hever, TN8 7NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of How Green Lane, Hever, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 170m away from the junction of Hever Road.

The alternative route is via Hever Road, B2027 Chequers Hill/Clinton Lane, How Green Lane and vice versa.



Lea Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water repair works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lea Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Weald Road.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.



Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, DA3 8NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Fairhavens Stables.

The alternative route is via Mussenden Lane, Lombard Street, School Lane, Three Gates Road and vice versa.



St Clere Hill Road, West Kingsdown, TN15 6AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Clere Hill Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed to the east of Oaklands.

The alternative route is via Pells Lane, A20 London Road, School Lane, Tinkerpot Lane, St Clere Hill Road and vice versa.



Valley Road, Fawkham, DA3 8NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Valley Road, Fawkham, on or after 6th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Greenacre.

The alternative route is via Valley Road, Fawkham Road, B260 Main Road, Hartley Road, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Fawkham Road, Brands Hatch Road, Valley Road and vice versa.



Valley Road & Fawkham Road, Fawkham, DA3 8NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of kerbing and patching works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Valley Road and Fawkham Road, Fawkham, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Brands Hatch Road and The Viaduct.

The alternative route is via Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane, South Ash Road, The Street, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road and vice versa.



Watery Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Kemsing, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Broughton.

The alternative route is via Watery Lane, Honey Pot Lane, Noahs Ark, St Ediths Road, High Street, Heaverham Road and vice versa.



Woodview Road, Swanley, BR8 7EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the installation of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodview Road, Swanley, on or after 3rd August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 2.

There is no alternative route but access will be maintained as and when safe to do so.
