The Scottish Borders Council (D69/1 Eshiels Holding, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 29 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D69/1 at Eshiels Holding, Peebles.
There is no alternative route. Local access shall be maintained with minor delays.

(D83/1 PLORA WOOD, INNERLEITHEN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D83/1 Plora Wood, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 27 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 21 September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays only. The Order is required for tree felling & timber harvesting.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D83/1 at Plora Wood, Innerleithen.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Northeast on the B709, East on the A72, South on the D80/1 and West on the D83/1 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(A72 HIGH STREET, PEEBLES)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) NO 2 ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A72 High Street, Peebles) (Temporary No Waiting) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 28 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 07:00 on 29 July 2026. The Order is required for BT manhole cover works.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of the A72 High Street, Peebles from the junction with Northgate to The County Hotel.

(B7016 BROUGHTON TO SPITTAL BURN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (B7016 Broughton to Spittal Burn) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 30 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 20 August 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day.
The Order is required for Go Fibre works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7016 Broughton to Spittal Burn.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B7016, A702, A72 and A701 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. In addition, there will be shorter/rolling road closures each day along the route to maximise access and egress for local residents.

(A72 PEEBLES ROAD, WALKERBURN)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Peebles Road, Walkerburn) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 27 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 31 July 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day.
The Order is required for civils work prior to resurfacing.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the A72 Peebles Road, Walkerburn from Peebles side of Walkerburn at the 20mph limit signs to Tweedvale Mills West for approximately 663 metres.
