RHODDIR HYSBYSIAD DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu creu Gorchymyn, a hynny heb fod yn llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, a fydd yn cyflwyno dros dro y cyfyngiadau a nodir yn yr atodlen isod.
Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol gan nad yw’r lôn gerbydau yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau wrth ailosod wyneb y briffordd ac er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd.
Daw'r Gorchymyn i rym ar 29/07/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am hyd at 18 mis neu nes bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau, p'un bynnag sydd gynharaf.Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 20:00 a 05:00 o 23/08/2026 i 27/08/2026.
Atodlen- Ni fydd unrhyw berson yn achosi i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd ffordd ddeuol yr A473 Heol Waterton tua'r gorllewin, o gylchfan Llangrallo i gylchfan Waterton, Waterton am tua 1.8km milltir.
Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yw drwy’r A473 cylchfan Llangrallo i ffordd gyswllt cylchfan Kingsway, Kingsway, York Road, yr A473 Cowbridge Road tua’r dwyrain, yr A473 cylchfan Waterton.
Cynhelir mynediad i Waterton Close trwy Waterton Lane, Waterton.Bydd mynediad trwy ardal y cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth ymateb i argyfyngau. Cynhelir mynediad i gerddwyr at bob eiddo o fewn ardal y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau a ddiffinnir trwy gydol y cyfnod cau.
Fodd bynnag, bydd y cyfyngiadau’n berthnasol dim ond ar adegau ac i’r graddau a ddangosir o bryd i’w gilydd ar arwyddion traffig a osodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016.

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (A473 WATERTON ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below.
The Order is necessary due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works and is in the interest of public safety.
The Order will come into force on the 29/07/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 from the 23/08/2026 to 27/08/2026.
Schedule- No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along A473 Waterton Road dual carriageway westbound from Coychurch roundabout to Waterton roundabout, Waterton for approximately 1.8km.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A473 Coychurch roundabout to Kingsway roundabout link, the Kingsway, York road, A473 Cowbridge road eastbound, A473 Waterton roundabout. Access will be maintained to Waterton close Via Waterton Lane, Waterton.
Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
