ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(EPSOM ROAD, LONDON ROAD(A24) AND LOWER MORDEN LANE, MORDEN)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Merton London Borough Council, with the agreement of Transport for London, hereby give notice that because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to thronging around Morden Park during an event, they intend to make a temporary Order to protect the public and maintain emergency routes, the effect of which would be to:-

(a) prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle to enter or proceed in the nearside northbound lane of Epsom Road and London Road, Morden, between a point 10 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-eastern kerb-line of Holme Chase and a point opposite the south-western kerb-line of Rosedene Avenue (the northbound cycle lane will also be closed);

(b) prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Epsom Road and London Road, Morden, the north-west side, from a point 10 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-eastern kerb-line of Holne Chase to a point opposite the south-western kerb-line of Rosedene Avenue;

(c) impose a one-way working in Lower Morden Lane, from the eastern arm of the Beverley roundabout to its junction with Epsom Road (A24) in the general direction of east to west.

2. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such an extent as indicated by the placing of appropriate signs.

3. The alternative route for vehicles affected by the one-way working would be via Tudor Drive and Epsom Road (A24).

4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(c) vehicles using the temporary pick-up and drop-off waiting point located in London Road, the north-west side, from a point 15 metres south-west of a point opposite the south-western boundary of No. 241 London Road to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 209 and 211 London Road, for picking-up and dropping-off of passengers.

The Order would come into effect at 7.30am on Friday 7th August 2026 and remain in force until 11pm Sunday 9th August 2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(STANLEY ROAD, SW19 (NO. 2))

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate re-cladding works at No. 10 Stanley Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in Stanley Road, the west side, from a point 36 metres north of its junction with The Broadway northward for a distance of 18 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Friday 14 August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(HAYDONS ROAD, WIMBLEDON)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate street lighting repair works in Haydons Road, Wimbledon, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed other than in a generally northbound direction in Haydons Road between its junction with Plough Lane and its junction with Queens Road;

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Traffic affected by the one-way working in Haydons Road should proceed using Gap Road, Alexandra Road, Wimbledon Bridge, The Broadway, Merton Road and Merton High Street.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 3rd August 2026 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on Friday 7th August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(ASHRIDGE WAY AND WOODLAND WAY, SM4)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1.The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Ashridge Way and Woodland Way, SM4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in:

(i) Ashridge Way, for its entire length;

(ii) Woodland Way, from its junction with Ashridge Way north-eastward for a distance of 30 metres;

(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the roads or lengths of roads specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of roads specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed via:-

(a) Hillcross Avenue, Monkleigh Road and Leamington Avenue or vice versa

(b) Hillcross Avenue, Arundel Avenue and Leamington Avenue or vice versa.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into operation on 27th July 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by 31st August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.
