NOTICE OF MAKING OF TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: VARIOUS ROADS, PARK ROYAL.
Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 5208 Various Roads, Ealing - 2026.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve Affinity Water carrying out sewer repair and replacement works.
Effect of order
1. Brentmead Avenue will be closed at its junction with Twyford Abbey Road from 10th August to 31st August 2026.
2. Park Avenue will be closed at its junction with Twyford Abbey Road from 28th August to 29th August 2026.
3. This order will close Twyford Abbey Road in one direction for traffic on Hanger Lane. Twyford Abbey Road will be open to all traffic for vehicles heading towards Hanger Lane from 31st August to 16th November 2026.
4. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 10th August 2026.
(a) No entry into the fully closed section(s) of Twyford Abbey Road, Park Avenue & Brentmead Avenue.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section.
5. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
6. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
7. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force. 10th August 2026
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 9th February 2028 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 16th November 2026, whichever is sooner.
