Croydon - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions due to Works

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking in Queenhill Road will be suspended on both sides of the road between its junctions with Farley Road and Upper Selsdon Road, and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading will apply "at any time".

3. The Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 28 August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

RIDDLESDOWN AVENUE, PURLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new water connection works by SES Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Riddlesdown Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the road will be closed outside No. 1 Riddlesdown Avenue.
3. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Riddlesdown Road, Mitchley Avenue, Coombe Wood Hill and vice versa.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

   (a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

   (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

   (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

UPPER BEULAH HILL, UPPER NORWOOD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Upper Beulah Hill.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Upper Beulah Hill will be closed at its junction with Beulah Hill.
3. During the closure, the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Beulah Hill, Church Road, Beulah Hill, and reversed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 27 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 31 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

COLEBROOK ROAD, NORBURY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water main works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Colebrook Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place: -

   a) Colebrook Road will be closed between its junction with Southbrook Road and the common boundary of Nos. 20 and 22 Colebrook Road.

   b) The southeastern (odd-numbered side) footway of Colebrook Road will be closed outside Nos. 5 to 11 Colebrook Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion routes for vehicles will be via Colebrook Road, Lloyd Avenue, Upwood Road and reversed. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.
4. The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 20 August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

   (a) A vehicle or person involved in the said work.

   (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

   (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

   TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

   1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cabling works on behalf of UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in Grimwade Avenue and Sandilands, Croydon.

   2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

      a) Grimwade Avenue will be closed between the western extremity of the road and its junction with Sandilands.

      b) Sandilands will be closed at its junction with Grimwade Avenue.

   3. Whilst the closures remain in force the alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via Grimwade Avenue, Mapledale Avenue, Fitzjames Avenue, Sandilands, and reversed.
   4. The Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

      5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

      (a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

      (b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

      (c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.
