TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE (PONT STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
The northside footway in Pont Street, between the junctions of Sloane Street to Cadogan Place is be closed to pedestrians for restoration works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 10th August 2026 until 18.00hrs on Friday 11th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Pedestrians are to be diverted to the opposite footways Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
