NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 20 July 2026 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 27 July 2026 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 10am and 6pm, at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET for a period of six weeks from the date the Orders were made. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk 

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ADDISCOMBE COURT ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend parking in Addiscombe Court Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place the disabled parking bay and shared use (permit/payment) parking bay adjacent to the flank wall of No. 130 Addiscombe Court Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply there at any time.

3. The Order will come into operation on 23 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BREAKFIELD, COULSDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking in Breakfield, Coulsdon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking in Breakfield will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading will apply at any time, between its junction with Ullswater Crescent and the cul-de-sac at its western end.

3. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section to which the order applies.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

The Order will come into operation on 28 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 11 September 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such work.
